moodfood was jettisoned several years ago from a passing spacecraft.
About the members:
Tom Lattanand - After astounding audiences all over Europe with his prodigal guitar skills at the
age of five, Tom abandoned the instrument after being refused the opportunity to play the solo in
Michael Jackson's "Beat It." After spending several years doing choreography for the television show
"The Jeffersons," a late growth spurt sent Tom straight into the world of professional basketball.
After ruining one of his ankles after smashing through the backboard during a dunk which was clearly
overshot, Tom decided to switch to the world of journalism and write sports commentary
for local newspapers. Several death threats later, no doubt due to his unforgiving
take on pro basketball, he decided it would be safer to return to his other first love, the guitar.
When asked whether he could still dominate on the court, the only answer we got was "bring it!"
Mitch Marcus - Mitch is a very good seamstress. He loves to make clothes. He also likes to dance.
He fears pictures of himself in close quarters with others, yet he is ok with this situation away
from the camera. His knack for writing love songs has earned him much respect in circles where
people talk about their feelings. Mitch Marcus cares.... a lot.
Sylvain Carton - The last of the latter day cowboys, Sylvain Carton (not his real name), is
still wanted in 12 states for animal theft. Under his alias "Woody Box," this dangerous felon
has absconded with literally hundreds of sheep, goats, and llamas. He spends his free time away
from cleaning his backyard playing alto saxophone and guitar with moodfood.
Andrew McIntyre - The result of genetic experiments into combining the human genome with alien
DNA, it's no wonder Andrew spends hours every day looking into the sky and humming the Phil
Collins song "Take Me Home." Whenever he manages to break away from his skygazing, he either
plays bass with moodfood or talks to plants. Sometimes both.
John Merrill wants you to know.
Micah McClain - Growing up an orphan in a Zen monastery endowed Micah with incredible powers of
concentration and an almost fanatical discipline which is still evident today in his drumming.
When wanderlust struck him as a teen, he bid goodbye to his beloved monks and set out to find
himself in the world. After brief stints as a freelance mercenary in Southeast Asia, he was kidnapped
by a band of international smugglers who sold him to sheepherders in the mountains of Turkey
after miscalculating the black market value of lychee nuts in Mesopotamia. Migrating with the seasons
across the mountains of Eastern Europe, Micah's skill crafting and playing percussion instruments made
from tree bark and grass landed him a spot in a travelling world music showcase. After a chance meeting Sylvain
at a 4-H event in Fresno, Micah decided to settle in San Francisco. He can now be seen performing
with moodfood, his internal calm matched only by the explosiveness of his playing.

of questions. Maybe we can hang out this weekend and wander around throwing pretzels
at streetlights. Call me. Or, head over to the shows page. That'll tell you where you can find us.
